The Challenge
Many users find it challenging to navigate through complex financial data. The abundance of information can overwhelm novice users, while professional users desire more customizable and quick filtering options. The platform’s UI lacks seamlessness in delivering actionable insights quickly for both groups.
The Research
Conducted with 10 users, including 6 retail investors and 4 financial professionals.
Reviewing the platform’s usability against Jakob Nielsen’s 10 heuristics for usability.
The Solution
Introduced a user onboarding feature to help new users navigate key functions and filters.
Improved the comparison flow by allowing users to select multiple companies and metrics from a single, unified screen without having to navigate back and forth.
Redesigned the mobile interface to support responsive, card-based layouts for easier access to important metrics.
